Renowned Philanthropist, Ikubese bags ‘Icon of Hope’ Award

Former Presidential aspirant and proprietor of Sckye Hospital, Dr. Thomas-wilson Ikubese has received an “Icon of Hope, Embodiment of Truth And Inspiration To Nigerian Youth” award from the Heritage Ambassadors Network(HAN).

Ikubese, a renowned Philanthropist and convener of the #YesWeFit revolutionary movement was presented the award, while playing host to representatives of the youth organization in his hospital at Akure, the Ondo state capital city on Thursday.

Presenting the Award,  the national coordinator of the organization,  Amb. Lawal Olusegun said, “having considered several other individuals in the state, Dr. Ikubese stand tall,  looking at his track records of sterling performance in the medical profession, humanitarian service, leadership prowess, and political capacity, hence the need for the award presentation.”

In his words, the National Publicity Director,  Amb. Ife Omoniyi appreciated the uncommon nature of Dr. Thomas towards humanitarian gesture particularly in the medical line. “Dr Thomas is someone that needs to be celebrated and appreciated.  We don’t have to die before we are being celebrated.” He said.

Also speaking, the National Secretary of the group Amb. Olusegun Akinsehinde thanked Dr Ikubese for making himself available for humanity service.  “Your humanity service is what attracted our organization to you for such a time like this. You have demonstrated capacity that we don’t have to be in position of political leadership before we can lend helping hands to the less privileged. Your act of humanity can never be forgotten in a dink of dream.” he added.

Alade Nike, a member of the visiting team thanked Ikubese for all that he’s doing and what he intend to do to make life better for an average Nigerians.

In his response, Ikubese thank the organization and their representatives for the gesture, while pledging to renew his efforts at positively impacting the society.

“I’m humbled by this gesture and dedicate this award to all my patients.” he said.

Heritage Ambassadors Network, is a socio conscious youth organization with the aim of bringing youths together for nation building.
