Police: How we Rescued kidnapped wife of Akeredolu’s CoS
The Ondo state Police command says the wife of the chief of staff to governor Rotimi Akeredolu was rescued without Payment of Ransom.
Many Residents of the state and other concerned citizens had reacted to the news of Mrs. Ale’s release with the believe that money in form of Ransom must have been paid for the release of the CoS’s wife.
However, while speaking with nigeriancablenewsonline.com on Saturday, the state Police spokesperson, Mr. Tee-leo Ikoro said no money was paid for the victim’s release.
He added that the Police, Army and other security agents spent two days combing the bush in search of the kidnappers. He also said the Abductors left their captives in the bush and ran away when the heat of gunshots and other weapons became too much for them to bear.
Also released alongside Mrs. Ale included her friend who was a co-occupant of the vehicle hijacked on Thursday around Owena area, near Akure.
Mrs. Ale and her friend were released on Saturday afternoon after the successful and extensive joint operation mounted by security agents.
Meanwhile, Chief Olugbenga Ale while reacting to the development stated that his wife and her friend were rescued unhurt by the “highly professional security forces and are currently in excellent condition.”
