Osun Rerun: Fani-Kayode Blows Hot Over Omisore’s Support For APC

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain in the Peoples Democratic Party is certainly shocked that the Osun state gubernatorial candidate under Social Democratic Party, Senator Iyiola Omisore will do the bidding of All Progressive’s Congress and shun the appeal of Peoples Democratic Party to win the state’s rerun election tomorrow, Thursday.

As the two major contenders in tomorrow’s election, their party men had on separate times met with Omisore to broker a deal as he was believed to be holding two out of four Local Government Areas, where the election would be conducted.

Fani-Kayode had earlier thought the SDP candidate will not yield to the wooing of their opponent.

“On Saturday, Adams Oshiomole called Iyiola Omisore a murderer and by wed. he offered him 480 million and the APC senatorial ticket. I trust that Iyiola will remember that dining with the devil is a risky business: the bible says what profiteth a man to gain the world and lose his soul”, he wrote this afternoon.

As the news broke this evening that Omisore has agreed to support APC, and that his party will consequently form a coalition government with them after their election, Fani-Kayode retreated to his Twitter handle to express his gross disappointment.

He criticised his decision as shameful after assuring PDP members of “standing firm”.

He, however, expressed confidence that Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP’s candidate in Osun will yet emerge victorious despite the forces against him now.

He wrote that:

“Iyiola Omisore’s decision to support the APC in tomorrow’s rerun is shameful. It is sad that he would seek to deny Ile-Ife the position of Dep. Gov simply for money. He told me he would stand firm 2 days ago and he told our father Baba Ayo Adebanjo the same thing last night.”

“I do not know what has turned his head but we shall forge ahead and by God’s grace Adeleke will win. There is no excuse or justification for joining or supporting those who treated our people like filth and slaves over the last 8 years  and who rigged last saturdays election”, Fani-Kayode ended.
