Ondo Women Hail Gov Aiyedatiwa Over Inclusion In Governance

Women from the 18 local governments in Ondo State through the office of the Special Adviser On Women Affairs have expressed their gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for promoting women’s inclusion in governance. This gesture is a testament to the governor’s commitment to gender equality and empowering women in the state.

While Addressing newsmen in Akure, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye hailed the Governor for a higher inclusion of women in his administration stressing that Ondo State Women have never had it this good.

She said “Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated his dedication to women’s empowerment through various initiatives, including the swearing-in of newly elected local government chairmen, vice chairmen and councillors, which marked a significant step in restoring democratic governance at the grassroots level”.

The governor’s efforts to promote women’s inclusion in governance are aligned with his administration’s goal of economic growth and investment promotion in Ondo State. By empowering women, Governor Aiyedatiwa is creating opportunities for them to contribute to the state’s development and prosperity.

The women also congratulated Rt. Hon. Adedoyinsola Adedayo (Owo) , Rt hon Mrs Adefulire Olufunke (Ile-Oluji/Oke Igbo) and Rt. Hon. Olatuja Doris (Ondo West) , who have emerged as the first female leaders of the house in Ọwọ Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo, and Ondo West local governments, respectively.

This milestone marks a significant step forward for women’s empowerment and representation in leadership positions in Ondo State.

It’s noteworthy that women’s inclusion in governance is essential for promoting gender equality and empowering women to contribute to the developments of their communities. The achievements of Rt.
