Ondo Rep, Akinfolarin Pleads For Peace, Dialogue Over Constituents’ Land Dispute Crisis

The member of the House of representatives representing Ile-Oluji Okeigbo and Odigbo local government, Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin has Pleaded with his constituents to stop all forms of violence and adopt peaceful dialogue in resolving the land dispute crisis presently rocking two communities in his constituency.

Akinfolarin said this in a Press statement he personally signed and made available to Nigerian Cable News online on Wednesday.

He said:

“I Want to use this medium to appeal to my people in Araromi-Obu and Ago-Alaye Communities to kindly allow Peace to reign irrespective of the present case in court.”

“It is true that the two communities which are parts of Odigbo local government area over the years have been living together as one to the extent that you hardly differentiate between them, they have been marrying themselves, wining and dining together.”

“We should not also forget that violence has never and will never solve any known problem from the inception of the world.”

“I want to appeal to us to allow Peace to reign and not to take laws into our hands but rather allow the case to be settled appropriately.”

“I as your representative believe that peace and dialogues is the only major components that can solve any lingering crisis and for that let us not allow anything that can tear us apart but bind us together as we collectively Work for the development, and upliftment of our country.”

Araromi-Obu and Ago-Alaye Communities of Ondo state have been in an age long land dispute, which recently escalated in violence and resulted into lose of lives following the latest dimension of the legal battle involved in the dispute.
