Ondo Rep, Akinfolarin Extends Electrification to more constituents
The lawmaker representing Ile-oluji-Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency in the house of Representatives, Honourable Mayowa Akinfolarin has facilitated the extension of electricity to more rural communities in his constituency.
The direct benefitiaries of this development are his constituents resident in Ago Ose, Ilutitun, Aperin, Owobanbo, Akinfolarin and Kajola communities of Odigbo local government.
Akinfolarin, who was commended for his efforts in providing power supply to the rural communities described electricity as a catalyst for rapid development within the society.
He assured that modalities for perfect and productive synergy with the appropriate Agency to boost the power need of his constituents in rural communities will be harnessed.
Speaking at the event that marked the commencement of the said project, he said:
“this project will benefit a lot in solving power supply challenges in these rural communities, as they are also a part that makes up a whole”.
The said project will cover a distance of Ten Kilometres (10kms) from AKINFOLARIN through AGO OSE, ILUTUNTUN, OWOBANBO and APERIN.
“What we are witnessing today is a result of the hard work of Rt. Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin who is determined to see positive transformations in our power sector in his constituency. The lawmaker is committed to providing access to reliable electricity across the rural areas that have lacked access to electricity for many years in his constituency.”
“It is evident that we are getting closer to our goal of ensuring that standards of living are improved using safe and reliable sources of power.” A constituents said.
According to Akinfolarin, he will continue to provide requisite policy interventions to ensure that transformative projects like this and others will have the desired impact of electrifying my constituency.
The residents, could hardly hide their excitement.
Our rep just brought a new moon into these communities” they enthused.
“We will forever be grateful to the lawmaker. This is the very first time we would be experiencing electricity in this area. We are very happy that we are feeling the dividends of democracy through this rural electrification initiative” a resident of one of the communities said.
The benefiting communities also applauded the honourable on infrastructure development, human capital development and other areas he has recorded tremendous success in his tenure as a member House of Representative. They prayed for his long life and promised to support him for any future political ambition.
