Ondo Police Nab 8 for Killing APC Chieftain Olumide Odimayo

Ondo state police command has apprehended eight suspects including a father and his son that allegedly kidnapped and killed a chieftain of APC at Igbotu in Ese-Odo area, Mr Olumide Odimayo.

The suspected father, Francis Bekewei and his son David Berewei were arrested with other at Ajagba with Ak49 rifle and 21 rounds of live ammunition.

Others accused persons include, Fikesei Inuesokan, Ekan Roman, Gbamila Success, Bodidi Idowu, Saturday Amos and Kehinde Ijanboh.

Parading the suspects in Akure, the Commissioner of Police, Mrs Hilda Ibifuro- Harrison said the leader of the kidnappers had been shot dead in the process of rescuing the victim.

The police boss commended the people of Ese-Odo area for aiding men of the force to fast track the arrest of the abductors after they killed and dumped the lifeless body of the APC former house of assembly candidate at Ajagba Creek.
