Ondo Police Arrests Two ‘Pickpockets’ At Koseunti Prayer Ground
Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad with the Ondo state Police command have nabbed two pickpockets at the monthly prayer of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itura, Koseounti Special programme.
The operatives who arrested the pickpockets were on the entourage of the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Prince Solagbade Amodeni to enforce a no- trading ban on the Oyemekun Axis of the Church.
The trading activities had become a nightmare for attendees of the monthly koseunti prayers as well as other road users despite government’s efforts to stop this trend.
About seven of the pickpockets on sighting the operatives took to their heels but two of them were caught with the efforts of the church ‘s security personnel and immediately were taken to SARS office at Alagbaka.
The commissioner, Prince Amodeni who later addressed the church congregation emphasised that government would no longer tolerate trading activities along Oyemekun down to the church due to the security and other risks that it potends for people of the area.
