Ondo PDP Rates Buhari, Says He’s Too Confused To Rule
The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has challenged the APC led Federal Government to wake up to several challenges confronting Nigerians before it is too late. This is contained in a Press Statement tittled:
‘NIGERIA IS TOTTERING’. Signed by Mr. Ayo fadaka, the Director of Publicity of the Party, made available to NIGERIAN CABLE NEWS. Here is the Press statement, unedited;
NIGERIA IS TOTTERING
The PDP in Ondo State wishes to alert all Nigerians to the fact that two years into the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari has ensured a steady decline for the Nigerian nation, continuing degeneracy in our national life and steady decline in our nationhood and it’s a trend that calls for concerted action to stem this slide.
It is time for all Nigerians to be concerned for the future of our nation as Nigeria currently hangs on the cliffhanger so dangerously as groups committed to the balkanization of the country now operates with bravado and remain unhindered.
The Presidency remains so lethargic, confused and unsure footed in confronting all the challenges that confront us today, yet it is mostly responsible for the odious developments. The IPOB that continues to superintend the latest desire to another secession is a direct response to the parochial appointments of Mr President upon his inauguration when he conveniently forgot that the entire nation remains his constituency and brazenly picked 90% of his aides from the North and largely left the South East out.
Under Buhari, our nation has been confronted with new challenges that must not overwhelm us, the Fulani herdsmen menace across the country today challenges our nationhood, their invasion of communities across the country and desecration of values without any response from the Federal Government remains unbelievable. It is common knowledge that the President too own a constant number of herds, and sadly, it is not until his assumption of office that the herdsmen, his kinsmen attain bravado to attack and decimate communities so that their cattles may graze, while they kill, and there has been no solid response from his government. The Edo primary school debacle where cows took over the classroom and sent pupils out highlights the disrespect of the herdsmen to the sensitivity of people. We believe that this kind of attitude do not engender national peace and harmony. The danger is that people across the country may begin to organize self help to confront this menace, the effect of such action will destroy national cohesion, distrust and disharmony. In Ondo State, there now exists communities where the herdsmen have taken over their farmlands and scare the people to go further into their farms, this is unacceptable.
Nigeria needs a strong Presidency that can take firm decisions and guaranty the health of the nation, sadly the President has health challenges that has denied him the stamina to pilot the affairs of the nation strongly, we however feel that patriotism must dictate to him the best option available to him now as our nation is also sick and the fortunes of the over 170 million people hangs in the balance.
Nigeria has since change for the worse under the APC government and it is time to halt this slide into anarchy, Buhari took over a Nigeria that was thriving and majorly at peace but for the Boko Haram challenge over which it claims a “technical” victory presently, but the grim reality is that our nation is deteriorating and stumbling, a stitch in time, they say, saves nine!
