Ondo North 2027: Adeogun Storms Ose LG, Reaffirms Senate Ambition
…Clears Insinuations of a Running Battle with State Governor
In a continuation of his consultation ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senate primary elections in Ondo state, Hon. Adejoro Adeogun met and interacted with APC executives and stakeholders in the ancient towns of Ifon and Idoani in Ose Local government on Thursday, declaring that he offers the best value proposition to the people of Ondo North senatorial district in the forthcoming election.
Addressing the gathering of party faithfuls, the Former Reps Member said that his aspiration was not driven by pecuniary motives but a genuine desire to give the people of Ondo North a purposeful representation at the National Assembly and support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda through legislative excellence. While recounting his achievements at the House of Representatives between 2019 and 2023, Adeogun promised to provide robust representation and attract needed socioeconomic development to the district. He submitted that he looks up to God to actualize his ambition, promising to serve the people and glorify God through quality service delivery.
The APC chieftain also used the occasion to address insinuations that he is having a running battle with the State Governor. He reminded the gathering that he was APC’s State Agent during the governorship election in November 2024. “That’s a role assigned to the most trusted of associates. It should tell anyone that the Governor and I have mutual respect for each other”, said Adeogun while urging his supporters to continue to accord respect to the Governor and pray God’s wisdom and guidance for him.
“This journey is beyond politics. I am in the race because the current political climate requires courage, competence, compassion and experience which I believe that I have in abundance, hence, I am well positioned to create more value in leadership and spin growth opportunities for our young people who sincerely need support to find and establish their purpose in life”, Adeogun concluded.
Responding to the senatorial hopeful, the leader of the representatives of the APC Chairman in the LGA said he has heard many people eulogize Adeogun especially on account of his humility, integrity and performance. According to the Chairman, “Adeogun is a big name known for quality leadership”. Thus, he expressed joy that APC has committed aspirants who are devoting their time and resources to strengthening the party at the grassroots and prayed the Lord to guide the constituent members to choose rightly.
Another responder at the meeting noted that Adeogun is one aspirant that has shown genuine commitment to the people and has not come to boast about his name being penciled down already on any ‘list’. He urged the former lawmaker to continue his issue-based and people-centered campaign, praying that the Lord who cleared his path to the House of Reps in 2019 will perfect his journey to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2027.
Hon. Adejoro Adeogun also met and interacted with different groups of APC faithful within Ifon, Idoani and Elegbeka communities—all in Ose Local Government Area where speakers including Dr. Saliu, Mr. Akinlabi, Mr. Ayedogbon, Pastor Ẹṣọ, youth and women representatives identified the challenges being faced by their communities and prayed Hon. Adeogun to help turn their disappointments to great stories as they declared total support for him in the forthcoming primaries.
