Ondo North 2023: Our Principal too Cultured, Exposed to attack other Aspirants – Ipinsagba Media Team
The media team of one of the leading aspirants for the senate seat in Ondo North senatorial district, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba has denied the widespread notion that it planted a story in the media to discredit other aspirants.
Recall that an opinion article written by one Mr. Kayode Olusegun titled “Race To 2023: Former Deputy Governor Steps Down” was published by TheCity on Saturday.
The article which noted that a former deputy Governor in Ondo state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo has stepped down from the senatorial race has attracted several reactions from various quarters and the Ipinsagba team is the latest to join the trend.
According to Ipinsagba media handlers, “Our attention has been drawn to a media circulation, “RACE TO 2023, ONDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR STEPS DOWN”, as well as a reaction from those who chose to throw caution to the wind, ditto, we wish to set the records straight.
“That our principal has not contracted anyone to sell a fact. We are grateful that people by their volition or independent evaluation have found our principal worthy.
“No doubt, our principal is a leading force and so would be the object of many detractors to throw tantrums at. Our attention has been drawn to a media circulation, “RACE TO 2023, ONDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR STEPS DOWN”, as well as a reaction from those who chose to throw caution to the wind, ditto, we wish to set the records straight.
That our principal has not contracted anyone to sell a fact. We are grateful that people by their volition or independent evaluation have found our principal worthy.
No doubt, our principal is a leading force and so would be the object of many detractors to throw tantrums at. However, as a cultured unifying figure, it is imperative to state we will not join issues but continue to propagate the gospel to put our darling senatorial districts in limelight.
Considering our assessment of the article, which did not originate from any of the support groups of our principal or his ally, we find it quite disheartening that a supposed elder would be intimidated by the soaring popularity and acceptability of pastor Jide Ipinsagba to go to the lowest ebbs. Resulting to low life gutter languages is not the way of our principal and we would not begin now. It shouldn’t even be the way of anyone who chooses to represent a district of highly sophisticated intellects.
Rather than to speak to the article and address issues, he choose to throw tantrums recklessly.
We ordinarily, wouldn’t have responded to the watery piece which emanated from him and his half baked group as we believe in political decency, where mutual respect is the inalienable right of any one seeking elective office.
However, bearing in mind the calls from notable individuals and our teeming supporters, it is important we make a clear statement to correct the ill motivated minds of the goliath, that David is now here.
That the track record of our principal and unifying figure of the Northern senatorial district is in public domain for anyone to see.
For us, it is about effective representation, the people first and never a do or die affair. Our principal is already made and his interest in politics is to give back to the people. Unlike political jobbers without a second address. Who has fed fat with our collective patrimony unapologetically.
It is about the people and the people will always win. We also wish to state that in the last election, our principal contested on the bases of ideas, innovation, effective legislation and development which has made him win more people to his side since the last election.
Today our principal can boast of harvesting a larger support base across the state and within our dear senatorial district. “Rome they say wasn’t built in a day”. Now that the masses have resolved firmly to be by our side, we are but more grateful to God who does all things in his time. Man proposes but God disposes. Those envious of his giant strides and the goodwill enjoyed by him should seek peace with God. For when a man’s way pleases the lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Our principal believes that for every election, you either win or learn. There is no room for hatred and bitterness. We have been so blessed by God. Our sincere wishes is to see our people prosper. And get the job of effective legislation done to save our nation and enhance better living conditions for our people.
We have seen that politics is the chief wheel to drive a nation forward and the legislature is a paramount tool for a people oriented government. We are preparing to represent the people and not to represent hatred or bitterness.
Love must lead. We call on anyone who seems to see themselves as the designers of destiny not to equate themselves as God. For it is only God that gives power through the people, the electorate and no wonder the voice of God is the voice of the people. We want to be truly elected and not to snatch power, so we can represent the people with a bold chest.
The people spoke in the last election based on their understanding of issues and we took it in good fate. We cannot blame people for their choices, Saul was first made king in the bible to prepare way for a man after God’s own heart David. Now that the time has come, we can only stand with the people without compromise.
Now that, the same people who spoke against us are now speaking for us means a lot to us. Victor Hugo once said, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” Not even the prison wall nor those who have failed to juxtapose the mandate they snatched through violence and bloodletting.
We are glad that, the people are by themselves taking their destiny into their own hands.
The media group having obtained the statement generating the unnecessary misuse of language from a supposed elder who should have maintained decorum and address issues, clearly shows the lack of content but bitterness. Anyone jittery about our popularity should review their lives critically and devote the remaining left perhaps to right their wrongs and for once stand with humanity.
Our principal, a God fearing and successful business man as also affirmed without mincing words that he has never met with the author of the publication which is unsettling those requesting for the reinforcement of poor representation.
We are further concerned by a man’s unwitty effort aimed at rewriting history. A name known for violence and thuggery should now note that the era of ballot box snatching is over and that the people will no longer collect guns or mortgage their destinies for peanut.

Our principal is an epitome of the yearnings and aspirations of our people for quality representation.
A successful owner of multibillion dollar oil and gas investment. A modest father and husband. Simple and down to earth. A God fearing individual has asked us to ignore the penchant of lies who is angered by will of the people looking to sow seed of discord where there is none. But for our quest to set the records straight, this statement becomes necessary.
As a people we are aware that filthy politicians will seek for every means to drag one to their low ebbs. We resist it and chose to maintain our decency even as they wallow in their own shadows and nightmares.
Those who have soiled their hands with blood and used EFCC under a world class corrupt administration to harass his family but was finally disgraced out of an appointment in a renowned corrupt administration should cover their face in shame.
