Ondo Lawmaker, Maito Visits Orphanage On Birthday

A lawmaker representing Akoko North-West constituency 1 in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Jamiu Maito, has distributed foodstuffs to Children’s Home at Oba-Ile, Akure.

The lawmaker who was in company of his wife, Titi and other friends, presented food items such as packets of spaghetti, instant noodles, cheese balls, Vuju milk, beverages among others…to the motherless home.

He particularly lauded the state government under governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the necessary support given to the Children’s Home, saying that the food items distributed would also go a long way to assist the state government in taking care of the motherless children in the facility so that the society would be better for it.

The event which also coincided with Maito’s birthday was designed to celebrate with the motherless children at the Children’s Home to identify with them and give them a sense of belonging.

Receiving the food items on behalf of the director for child, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mr. Ogunleye Niyi, Mrs Anamebom Taiwo, appreciated the lawmaker for his philanthropic gesture and prayed God to continue to bless him and his family.

She said the children would forever be grateful to him for his kind gesture.
