ONDO 2024: Segun Oyebolu Emerges SDP Governorship Candidate

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo state has elected Dr. Segun Oyebolu as it’s candidate, ahead of the November 16th governorship election schedule to hold in the state.
At the party’s primary election held in Akure, the Ondo state capital city. Sixty-four(64) delegates, drawn from the 18 local government areas of the state gathered to vote their preferred candidates on Saturday.
Nigeriancablenewsonline.com reports that today marks the last day on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) timetable, for political parties’ primary elections, ahead of the Ondo state governorship election.
In his address, the chairman of the electoral panel, Bar. Joseph Achille Abu expressed satisfaction in the turnout of party delegates from across the eighteen local governments of the state.
Abu also commended the state working committee of the party in Ondo state for giving the party a befitting secretariat in the state, while urging them to gear up on equipping the office with modern office facilities in no distance time.
INEC officials were in attendance to monitor the election process and ensure that it’s in compliance with the Nigeria Electoral act as amended.
In his acceptance speech, the candidate of the party, Dr Segun Oyebolu appreciated the party delegates for the confidence repose in him.
He promised to build a formidable campaign team that will dislodge the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state, and build a new ondo state.
He also assured the party leaders that his administration will bring back the good old days of the state.
