Ondo 2020: ZLP reacts over Purported Member’s move to APC

The Ondo state chapter of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has reacted to the purported fresh move of some members of the Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Olatunde in a statement made available to Nigerian cable news online on Monday said the Partg had acknowledged the exit of two of it’s members, Mr. Abayomi Adebayo and Femi Ikoyi six months ago, and wished them well when they formed a Political group.

He said:

“The announcement of resignation of two former members of our party, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Ondo state, Abayomi Adebayo and Femi Ikoyi, has been brought to our notice.”

“We say without any iota of doubt that the persons involved have willingly and publicly resigned their membership of our party.”

“They therefore could not have acted and cannot act for or on behalf of our party as they have since formed a different group and aligned themselves with peoples of their choice.”

“As we said in March 2020 when they made their resignation public, there is free entry and free exit in all political formations.”

“We wish them well in their party but insist that they ceased from being our members more than six months ago.” He concluded.
