ONDO 2020: ZLP chieftain Escapes Assassination Attempt by APC thugs

A chieftain of the Zenith Labour Party in Ilaje local government of Ondo state (name withheld) has miraculously escaped an attempt by some miscreants alleged to be APC members in the local government to assassinate him.

The unfortunate incident which took place in the early hours of today(Wednesday), around 4:00am at Ilara street, Adjacent Marin hotel in Ilaje was confirmed by members of the community who spoke under the condition of anonymity.

According to the victim:

“They came very early in the morning around 4am and accessed my car. Immediately they gained access to my car, they started blasting the horn in a bid to get my attention and make me walk into their trap. When I noticed this, I immediately called on my neighbours and some party leaders around who came to my rescue. It was a scary situation.”

Also confirming the incident, another chieftain of the ZLP who was at the scene, Mr. Soji Ayenuro, a former Chairman of Ilaje local government described the incident as a very sad one.

He warned that the APC government should not try to subvert the will of the people to send the incumbent parking in the next election.

Comrade Emmanuel Balogun, the ZLP state Youth leader who also spoke with Nigeriancablenewsonline.com, confirmed the incidence and maintained that the violent approach of the APC will not change the decision of the people to make sure Hon. Agboola Ajayi becomes the next Governor of the state.
