Ondo 2020: ‘We are Battle-ready’, ZLP Youths assure Party leaders

Youths in the Ondo state chapter of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) have assured the leadership of the party of their readiness for the October 10 gubernatorial election in the state.

The Youths gave the assurance at a meeting held in Okitipupa local government on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Party state Youth leader, comrade Emmanuel Glory Balogun charged the youth to get set for the political battle ahead of them.

He also assured that the Party is doing all needfuls to protect them as the embark on mobilizations and campaigns for the Party towards the election.

Nigerian cable news online reliability gathered that the meeting held in Okitipupa local government area was organized to engage the youth leaders from the units in other for them to be well focus and prepared.

“I can assure you and attest to the fact that our victory is sure and I know as God liveth we will cost to victory in the forthcoming guber poll because i know it is divinely ordained. I also use this medium to welcome the deputy governor of the state who will be flying the flag of the party as the gubernatorial candidate and we will surely be victorious, just be calm we shall mobilize for the party in all the ward and we also assure you that as soon we receive the deputy governor into the party every necessary requirements Will be settled ” He said.

Also speaking at the event, former ZLP Assembly candidate and Ondo south senatorial youth leader, Hon. Olowomuke urged youth leaders in the district be more committed in order to be part of the next government in the sunshine state. He equally begged the youths to embrace peace as they reach out to their people through series of campaign strategies.

” Its no longer news that our party will be on the ballot in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll in Ondo state, we can only grap the seat of authority through a strategic approach, i can assure you all that our party will defeat the ruling APC because it is Crystal clear that they have failed the expectation of the Southerners in all ramification, I will also thank and appreciate the state youth leader for coming thus far, it hasn’t been easy over the week touring the district in the state, it shows the leadership capacity in you, thanks for all you do my brother may God continue to bless you and keep you safe.” He said.

Olowomuke also gave kudos to the southern youth leaders

“ My mind wouldn’t be at peace if I fail to commend the unflishing effort of the southern youth leaders, atleast the number of people seated here shows you have all done well, by the grace of God we shall get to top of this battle victoriously, any moment from now Agboola Ajayi Will be received into the party, the issue of Covid-19 may not give us the room enough to converge in the number we so desire to officially welcome him into the party at the state Secretariat but be rest assured that his coming will add more salt to the growth of the party and would also ease and lessen our burden and I also I expect all the youth leaders to invest their best if we really want to reposition this state from the misrule of the government in power. This is the grand alliance of coalition of political forces because nothing not even intimidation can stop or halt the resolve of the people.” He said.

Hon. Kunle Orisamoluwa who was also at the venue of the meeting later added to the points ealier raised by the youth leaders and also encouraged them never to stop digging deep to the rural areas of the state as lot of people are anxiously waiting to receive them in good faith. In his final remark he bid all the youth leader safe transit to their various destinations.
