ONDO 2020: Group Hails Akingboye, Endorses Governorship Bid

A non political group, Ondo Leadership Forum (OLF) has hailed leading governorship aspirant in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Otunba Bamidele Akingboye over his exceptional groundbreaking services to the state and Nigeria at large, while declaring its support for his governorship ambition.

The group in a letter signed by its Publicity Secretary, Wale Ogidan and made available to Otunba Bamidele Akingboye campaign organization on Monday, described the business tycoon and philanthropist of high repute as the best man for the job having participated in active national and grassroot politics for years, taking solace in his exemplary life of living for the poor and service to humanity.

The letter reads in part:

“The group is delighted to associate itself with a man who has been on the forefront of servicing the state and agitating for its rightful position among committee of states, also making sure residents have suitable standard of living is highly competent to lead the state without hinge.”

” Otunba Akingboye has been practically tested on many grounds of political participation, which further proves the leadership quality widely known to have possessed. We have confidence in his leadership skills, his ability to transform the state into an industrial hub, with special attention to job creation for teeming population of the state, prompt payment of workers salaries and revamping all sectors of government for growth and development.”

“We have also noticed with disdain the high level of insecurity in the state which is a result of bad leadership as represented by the present-day government in the state. This threat to life is an hindrance to overall development and it is bad for the state.”

“On this note, the group having scrutinized available options has decided to align interest with the PDP in Ondo State and most importantly to work for the emergence of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye as flagbearer of the party.”

OLF maintained that residents of the state are politically conscious and would rather have a good manager steer the ship of state.

The group called on all interest groups functional in the state to rally support for Otunba Bamidele Akingboye to emerge as governor in the 2020 governorship election.
