Ondo 2020: APC Appoints Yahaya Bello Chairman of Party Primary Committee
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the Appointment of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello as the Chairman of Ondo State Gubernatorial Primary Election Committee
Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe was also Appointed as the head of the Election Appeal Committee.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena.
The primary election of the ruling party in the Sunshine State has been slated for July 20, 2020 as incumbent Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and 11 other aspirants justle for the party’s sole ticket.
The Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, however named nine members for the election committee while nine members also constitute the Election Appeal Committee.
Mr Olorogun O’tega Emerhor will act as Secretary to the Election Committee while Alwan Hassan, Chief Samuel Sambo, Hajiya Binta Salihu, Mr. Emma Andy,Adebayo Adelabu, Abdullahi Aliyu and Mrs. Margret Ngozi Igwe will serve as members.
In the Election Appeal Committee, Arch. Abdulmimuni Okara will serve as the secretary while Mr. Festus Fientes, Mr. Okon Owoefiak, Mr. ABBA Isah, Alh. Umar Duhu, Hon. Sani El-katuzu, Mrs. Osuere Eunice and Emeka Agaba constitute the membership of the panel.
According to the statement, the two committees will be inaugurated by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Buni, at the APC National Secretariat by 3pm on Friday.
