Why Olusola Oke Is Not Welcome In Our Party _ Ondo APC

The ceremonious decampment of the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), chief Olusola Oke, from AD to APC, which happened today in the capital city of Akure, seems to be generating some unexpected reactions from many state executives in his new party.

Notable leaders within the ranks of the Ondo state APC made it known to nigeriancablenewsonline.com that a large number of the party leaders will stop the new leader and his vanguard of followers, if they have their way, because many of them fill threatened by the ‘dominant tendencies’ of Oke.

An authoritative source disclosed to our correspondent that the ‘team Aketi’ block of the party held a meeting till around 3:00am today (18-01-2018), discussing possible ways to ‘tame’ the new leader and reduce his influence in the party. The also added that one the decisions of the meeting was to block Oke from getting any federal appointment at all cost.

A source also revealed that some Honourables in the house of assembly within the party are leading a ‘conspiracy team’ against the new leader. Because they are threatened that he may change the leadership structure of the house against their interests.

Our source further said:

” As a matter of fact, an honorable from PDP was supposed to join chief Oke to decamp today, but he had to postpone his own decamping till Monday because of the conspiracy meetings against chief Oke, over the night. I also boycotted the ceremony because of the obvious resistance to his coming from some quarters in APC”

The People’s Democratic Party on the other hand described chief Oke and his allies who joined him to the APC as ‘Politicians of Fortunes’. The Party P.R.O, Mr. Ayo Fadaka on a phone chat said he should have considered his political future before embarking of such a journey into political oblivion.

He further said:

“Olusola Oke and those who followed him to APC today only deserve to be pitied, one will wonder what could have prompted them all into a decision to join a party that has dissapointed Nigerians at all levels. When the people are only waiting for an opportunity to vote them out of power in 2019”
