OFFICIAL: INEC Releases Dates For 2019 Presidential, NASS Elections

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced on Tuesday the timetables for 2019 elections.

The presidential election will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019.

The national assembly elections will be held on the same day, while governorship and state assembly polls will take place on March 2.

Primaries for the presidential and national assembly elections will start on August 18, 2018, according to INEC.

Campaigns for the governorship and state assembly are scheduled to commence on December 1, 2018.

State assembly and area council elections in the federal capital territory will take place on March 2, 2019.
