No Faction, Sule Oderinde Remains our Chairman – Ondo ADP says
The Ondo state chapter of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has debunked the rumours of a faction within its ranks.
The Party in a statement made available to Nigerian cable news online in Akure, the state capital by the State Secretary
Comr. Ayomide Micheal said the rumour was planted by jesters who are threatened by the strength of the party.
The statement reads:
“It could be recalled that recently some Political Parties in Ondo state under the platform of Emerging Political Parties Commitee (EPC) publicized the adoption of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in order to further fortify the party to be stronger, and more egalitarian to stand as “Third Force” to the two dominating political parties in Ondo State by extension the entire country.”
“In fairness nobody rejects honey when tasted, ADP appreciated adopting the party by EPC and fully ready to accommodate them. In all ideal settings, there are always terms and conditions for progressivism. ADP has presented its terms and conditions to EPC for them to be able to key into the Vision, Mission and Core Mandate of our party as provided by the ADP Party Constitution, but the terms and conditions were not met by Emerging Political Parties Committee (EPC).”
“Flowing from the above, I hereby announced to general membership of our great party, entire good people of Ondo State and Nigeria at large that ADP party structure remain intact right from State, ward to the unit. Furthermore, against the news fuming the air, HON. SULE ODERINDE from Owo Local Government remains the State Chairman.”
“It is also of my interest to inform all and sundry that ACTION DEMOCRATIC PARTY (ADP) in Ondo State is not factionalized, any such information should be ignored completely” the statement concluded.
The party further assured the people of the state that it will present a credible candidate after a free and fair primary election to contest the next Gubernatorial election in the state.
