Nigerian Army Mobilizes Special Forces To Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa
The Nigerian Army has deployed Special Forces to the three Northern states – Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba – where there has been serious insecurity since the beginning of this year.
This is not unconnected from the disturbing killings in those parts of the country.
The presidency announced this in a tweet on Wednesday evening saying:
“@HQNigerianArmy has
deployed Special Forces To Benue, Taraba and Nasarawa States to secure vulnerable communities and prevent further attacks.”
This is coming after 24 hours of the Inspector of Police, Ibrahim Idris’s arrival to Benue state to tighten the security there.
