National Assembly Changes Name Of Nigerian Police
The Upper Chamber of the National Assembly has changed the name of the Nigerian Police Force.
The law-enforcer body which was formerly known as Nigerian Police Force was yesterday at the plenary of the Senate changed to Nigerian Police, leaving the ‘Force’ removed.
This is part of the constitutional review process on-going at the
eighth national assembly.
87 Senators voted in support for the change of name while 2 Senators voted against and one sustained.
