JUST IN: Senate Restricts Jonathan From Contesting For President In 2019

By the reason of bill signed into law today at the plenary session of the Nigerian Senate, Former President Goodluck Jonathan can no longer run for president in Nigeria.

The Bill sought that any vice president who had completed a tenure of a sitting president and contested a fresh four years mandate shall not be eligible to run for a second term of
office.

Jonathan had once been the Vice President of Nigeria, who finished the tenure of his Boss, late President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua and also contested and won as the president of Nigeria later after that tenure.
