JUST IN: Tragedy As Truck Consignment Falls On Vehicles In Lagos
Parts of the consignment of a truck conveying wood have fallen on vehicles around Ojuelegba area of Lagos State.
Our correspondent gathered that the tragic incident happened Tuesday night around Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos.
Although the casualty figure is yet to be ascertained, PREMIUM TIMES gathered that at least three vehicles including commercial buses were affected in the accident.
“The bus was conveying plywood and part of the consignment fell off and landed on three buses and a car,” an eye witness told PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday night.
An official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, told PREMIUM TIMES the casualty figure is still unknown.
“Efforts are ongoing to ascertain the casualty figure, ” he told our correspondent around 10:31 Tuesday night.
Similarly, Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES in a phone interview.
He noted that rescue efforts are ongoing at the time of this report.
