JUST IN: Evans’ Defense Lawyer Bows Out From Case

Olukoya Ogungbeje, the defense councel to the alleged notorious kidnapping kingpin Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike also known as Evans has withdrawn his representation from all criminal charges against his client.

The reason for the withdrawal was given as personal by the legal practitioner.

Ogungbeje was however confident he is bowing out after fighting a good fight in the course of his defence for Evans even as much as threats to his life were numerous.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state categorically that we have fought a good fight this far despite repeated and sustained threats to my life and my defence lawyers”.

“I dare say we have no regrets whatsoever having conducted the criminal charges involving our client this far”, Mr Ogungbeje said in a statement released to journalists.

Recall that, Evans was arrested in his Magodo mansion, Lagos state on June 10 2017 after terrorizing the country engaging in high profile kidnap cases.
