JUST IN: APC Chairman Speaks Over Defection Of Lawmakers

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress has given his reaction over the defection of some Nigerian senators from the party today.

At the plenary this morning, the Senate President Bukola Saraki announced the exit of fourteen lawmakers from the ruling party to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Shortly after then, Oshiomhole had a closed door meeting with President Muhamamdu Buhari

Oshiomhole told State House correspondents at the end of the meeting with the President that he was happy with the development because those who left the party were mercenaries.

He added the ruling party was not disturbed by the development.
