JUST IN: Akeredolu To Renovate Commission Office With N86.7 Million

The Ondo state government under the leadership of governor Rotimi Akeredolu has approved the sum of 86.7 million Naira for the renovation of the Akure office of the Ondo state oil producing area development commission (OSOPADEC).

According to the commissioner for Education, science and technology on Monday, the ondo state executive Council approved the sum of over ten billion naira for infrastructural projects in the three senatorial district of the state.

Agagu, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state executive council meeting at the governor’s office in Akure said the projects will begin in no distant time in selected areas.

Agagu further explained that council approved the renovation of office and construction of a new gate at the Osopadec head office in oba ile at the rate of 86.7 million naira.

Agagu added that council also approved the rehabilitation of wooden work ways and jetties with total length of 74.5 kilometre in ilaje Ese odo at the rate of 807 million naira and the construction of high court and appeal court road totalling 6.2 kilometre in Akure at the rate of 1.4 billion naira.

The commissioner further stated that the council approved the rehabilitation of selected roads in ile oluji totaling 5.25 kilometre at the rate of 882.4 million naira as well as the upward revue of ongoing dualization project in ikare township road.

He stressed that the construction of Owo dualization project from emure junction to aud and ministry of Works down to iyere junction totaling 7.135 kilometre will gulp 7.1 billion naira.

Agagu also mentioned that rehabilitation work of some selected roads in isarun totaling 3.1 kilometre will gulp 695.2 million naira.

The state commissioner for works and infrastructure, Taofeek Abdulsalam said the contractors will soon move to site to ensure the projects are completed on time.
