JUST IN: Herdsmen Kill 11 In Fresh Benue Attack

Suspected herdsmen have killed 11 persons in a fresh attack on Tombu village in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The state governor, Mr Samuel Ortom, confirmed the renewed killings to reporters shortly after an emergency meeting with the joint socio-cultural groups in the state.

Governor Ortom lamented that more than 40,000 people have been displaced for fear of unprovoked attacks and called for the arrest of the leadership of Miyetti Allah as a means of ending the killings in the state.

However, the police are yet to confirm the attack.
