JUST IN: Fresh Scam Uncovered In Ondo Government
Information at the disposal of Nigerian Cable News has it that the Akeredolu led government of Ondo state, through his Commissioner for Youths and Sport, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye May be on another mission to swindle and milk the residents of Ondo state in the area of sports.

Sources from the state ministry of youths & sports, said Mr. Saka Yusuf has gone into a hidden agreement with some faceless elements masquerading under the auspices of the ‘National Athletic Development center’ to defraud sports lovers in the state through a proposed weekly event, in the name of raffle draw, with a personal gain of over N500, 000, 000.
The general manager of Ondo state sports council, Mrs. Idowu Akinbulumo on a phone chat with our correspondent, denied knowledge of the agreement, adding that the sports council is not in anyway involved.
The chairman of the house committee on youths and sports in Ondo state house of assembly, who also doubles as the National vice president of the Athletics federation of Nigeria, Hon Olamide Judge also said he knows nothing about the development. He said:
” Let me say first that the said program is yet to come to the knowledge of the house of assembly. Again, I don’t believe our people should be made to pay any money for it. Also trust the ability of the governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu, I believe he won’t give approval for such venture of no economic value to the state.”
However, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, when contacted denied the allegations. He said:
“what we have presently is a partnership proposal to organized sporting events in Ondo state, submitted to the office of the governor. It was later sent to me, after which we got an approval to invite them for a defence. We have also sent the document to the ministry of justice for necessary legal recommendations. And the next stage will be to take it to the state house of assembly for deliberation and possible approval. I also want to assure you that we won’t do anything against the interest of our people”
