INEC Appoints New REC For Ondo State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the posting of Barrister Mutiu Agboke Olaleke as the new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State.

Mr Olaleke, who hails from Ogun State is an alumnus of African Church Grammar School Abeokuta, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife and University of Ilorin.

He replaces Mr Olusegun Agbaje whose tenure expired some months ago.

A statement by Secretary to the commission, Augusta Ogakwu, confirmed the posting of Barriater Olaleke to Ondo and thirteen others to Benue, Kogi, Plateau and Taraba among other states.

The statement said the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, advised Olaleke and his colleagues to adhere strictly to the provisions of the constitution, electoral act and other legal frameworks in the discharge of their duties.
