Again, Sckye Hospital bags ‘Private Hospital of the Year’ Award
Sckye Hospital, a medical facility headed by Dr. Thomas-wilson Ikubese, has been awarded the best Private Hospital in Ondo state.
The award was presented by the Association of Local Government Youths of Nigeria, at the hospital complex in Akure on Friday.
Ikubese, a renowned philanthropist and former presidential aspirant, while speaking on the award presentation said;
“This afternoon, we received the award of Best Private Hospital In Ondo State 2021 from the Association of Local Government Youths of Nigeria.”
He dedicated the award to the patients of the hospital, while thanking God for the privilege.
“We dedicate this award to our numerous patients to whom we have dedicated the rest of our lives and return the glory to God Almighty who gave us the privilege of serving humanity.” He added.
However, the Public relations officer of the youth association, comrade Tomiwa Mathew, while speaking with Nigerian cable news online on the development, said the decision to distinguish Sckye Hospital with the award is predicated on the results of their findings about the hospital and it’s activities.
He said;
“One of the reasons we considered the hospital deserving of the award is the fact that they offer free antenatal services which includes free registration, free drugs, free HIV, genotype, blood group, pcv and urinalysis tests culminating in free vaginal delivery since 2004, despite the high quality of their facilities and personnel.”
The facility is also known to carry out free cesarean section on women with higher order multiple gestation (triplets and above) after which they proceed to raise funds for them, where such families are in need of financial assistance.
He encouraged other private hospital managements within the state to emulate the gesture of Sckye Hospital and it’s owners.
Nigerian cable news online reported how the Hospital was awarded the sunshine outstanding private hospital of the year, during the Sunshine Integrity Award(SIA) held in August 2021.
The award ceremony, which was organized by Sunshine Integrity Award, an initiative of Samleymih event and entertainment concepts, was held at the OSPDC event center, Ijapo in Akure, and was earned through the quality of service in the medical facility.
