‘I Have No Facebook Or Twitter Accounts’ – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has detached himself from any announcement or engagements on social media platforms.

He stated that he does not have any Twitter or Facebook accounts and pleaded to Nigerians to disregard any created in his name to spread information.

The minister of information made this known while reacting to the purported news that President Muhammadu Buhari will be traveling to the US today, Monday and credited to him.

In the statement signed by his Special Adviser, Segun Adeyemi, Lai said:

“Numerous parody accounts have been opened in my name on the two platforms, when indeed I have no Twitter or Facebook accounts.”

He therefore urged Nigerians to be more discerning in receiving and spreading information from Social Media.

“That is why we are urging Nigerians to be more discerning and to double check any information
emanating from the Social Media,” Mohammed said.
