I Didn’t Order NAOSS Leader’s Arrest _ Akeredolu Reacts

Following the detention of the NOASS National Executives as earlier reported by nigeriancablenewsonline.com. The Chief Press secretary to the Governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye and the Special assistant to the Governor on Youths and students matter, Mr. Banji Adewumi have reacted to the incidence on behalf of the Governor.

In separate chats with Nigerian Cable News, they both debunked the allegation that the governor ordered the arrest through the Chief Of staff.

While the CPS affirmed that the chief of staff is a Father to all, who will never order the arrest of any student leader. The S.A on Youths and Students said the arrest was as a result of a Petition written against comrade Olibamoyo Tayo to the Police by an individual unknown to the government.

He added that the students leader was only invited to write a statement concerning the Petition.

He later concluded by saying that he has taken an immediate action on the case by going to the Police station to secure the release almost immediately.

Other students sources also confirmed the release of the student leaders, adding they were released about an hour ago.
