How I Achieved More in 3 Weeks of Serving As Commissioner Under Aiyedatiwa Than I Did in 2 Years Under Aketi – Sunday Akinwalire
Former commissioner for environment in Ondo state, Mr Sunday Akinwalire has said he achieved more in his three weeks of serving as a commissioner under governor lucky aiyedatiwa than he did in about two years of serving under late governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s administration.
Akinwalire said this during a meeting of the leaders of the all progressives congress (APC) held in Idanre local government area on saturday, where ward and local government chairmen in the local government declared their support for governor lucky aiyedatiwa towards entrenching good governance in Ondo State.
According to the former commissioner for environment;
“For the three weeks the he (Aiyedatiwa) became governor ondo state, the turn around that he quickly made in that area, will continue to live with me (and the people) forever.
“Because even after spending two years in the ministery of environment as a commissioner, I knew the difference between that three weeks and the whole of the one year and nine months that I have been in office under Akeredolu. I thank God that by the time I was leaving as commissioner for environment, I became a very happy person.
“Aiyedatiwa, being a part of Aketi’s (Akeredolu’s) administration, and he has told us that all structures and legacies bequeathed by Aketi will continue in earnest. And he has been doing so. He is straight forward and committed. I think ondo state people should thank God for the kind of leader we have in lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.”
APC Chairman in the local government, Adeuti Olumide and other leaders and members of the party described the governor as a visionary leader who prioritises the welfare of the people
The APC local government chairman said the party structure in the local government has resolved to an unflinching support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in his task of delivering good governance to Ondo state people.
Leaders and members of the party who gathered at the well attended special meeting held at the local government party secretariat, all said the purpose of the meeting is to declare support and affirm their confidence on the governor and his administration, considering his capacity and leadership style.
They lauded governor Aiyedatiwa for bringing to bear his experience in engineering people-oriented policies within the short time he took over as helmsman.
Youth leaders, union leaders and other ex appointees appreciated the Governor for prioritizing the welfare of party members from ward level to the state.
They appealed to the governor to continue to carry out more people oriented programmes across the state.
The idanre endorsement meeting is coming after the one held in Akoko southwest local government area, where party members, leaders and stakeholders led by former member of the house of representatives, honourable Ade Adeogun declared their support for governor Aiyedatiwa, the one in Akoko southeast, and other numerous ones across the state in recent times.
