Group hails Ondo APC guber Aspirant, Adelami on birthday

Concerned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state under the auspices of the APC Rescue League have sent their greetings to a chieftain and governorship aspirant of the Party, Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni on the occasion of his birthday.

The group in a statement signed by it’s General Secretary, Aderemi Adetula, esquire on Friday said Adelami stands out among all the individuals aspiring to govern Ondo State in the October 10, 2020 governorship election.

The statement sent to Nigerian cable news online partly reads:

“As we celebrate with him, we are glad that our party has within its ranks a cerebral administrator, who rose to the top of his career as Deputy Clerk at the National Assembly before retiring.”

“Adelami a fellow of many professional bodies, was also seen as a worthy man by the late Olowo of Owo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr D.V.F Olateru Olagbegi III, who honoured him with the Amuwagboye of Owo Kingdom.”

“We are also not unaware of Adelami’s love for his people through his many philanthropic acts both personally and through the Elizabeth Foundation.”

“Much than we have heard, we have also seen his leadership qualities since he joined our party, helping to keep the party together both within Owo Local Government and the whole of Ondo State.”

“It was indeed through his efforts, that the APC won the only senatorial seat in the state in Ondo North Senatorial District, while all others were taken away by the opposition during the 2015 general election.”

“His broad-minded acts made the party appoint him as the chairman of the Presidential Support Committee in the state to reconcile aggrieved party members and to lead the work for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari, a task he gave his best to achieve but for the selfish interests of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and the people around his government.”

APC Rescue League also urged Adelami not to relent in pursuing his ambition to govern the good people of Ondo State.

“We join members of our party to wish him a happy birthday and we want to declare our believe in his ability to rescue our state from the hands of people who have turned it unto a family business.”

“With what we know about Chief Adelami, he is the most qualified out of all the governorship aspirants, having worked at the highest level at the federal civil service.

“He will bring to Ondo State good fortunes which had eluded the state in times past,” the statement read.
