Flood: Interior Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Sympathises With Ondo Kingdom

The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has expressed deep sympathy to the Osemawe and the people of Ondo Kingdom over the recent flash flood which took over the City on Friday, October 4, 2024.

The Minister, in a statement signed by Mr. Babatunde Alao, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, described the incident as devastating, and commiserated with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa over the impact of the crisis.

According to him, “I am saddened by the disturbing news of the flood that has had devastating impact on the lives and properties of our people in Ondo Kingdom.

“I commiserate with His Excellency Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over the displacement of people by the flood, and the economic loss due to the crisis.

“I condole with the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo CFR (Jilo III) and the victims of this unfortunate event.”

Tunji-Ojo also urged the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to stay safe during this challenging period.
