Embrace Peace, Tolerance – Omogbehin Admonishes Constituents At Christmas

The lawmaker representing Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency has charged Nigerians and the people of his constituency to embrace peace, love and tolerance of one another as Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas.

In a statement released by his media office on Sunday, Omogbehin noted that Christmas is not just about celebration, but it is a period to take stock and reflect on relationship with God.

“I greet and felicitate with you all once again as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I join all of our Christian compatriots to giving thanks to God Almighty for the divine gift of Jesus Christ the Messiah whose earthly incarnation we commemorate today”.

Quoting from the holy bible he said “Glory be to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!” (Lk. 2:14). Christ, the Prince of Peace, gives his peace to this world in the Gospel of John: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you” (John 14:27).

It is my prayer that Christ, the Prince of Peace, who brought joy during the first Christmas to Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and the angels, will bring you joy and peace. It is also my prayer that the coming year will be filled with joy and peace for each and every one of you as you endeavour to serve the Lord, He concluded.
