Ekimogun Day 2022: Awosika Donates N150M For Community Development

Billionaire Businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Tola Awosika has announced a donation of 150 million naira for specific projects in Ondo kingdom.

Awosika, the Chairman of Ekimogun Day 2022, in a statement by his spokesperson, Prince Segun Adeṣemoye, said it is a way to show gratitude for the honour of being the youngest chairman of the Ekimogun Day since inception and to demonstrate his love for the people and his commitment to the development of the kingdom.

He further revealed that the fund will be used to purchase and distribute 50 transformers to communities that are in dire need of electricity with Ondo kingdom, upgrade the Ondo civic center to first class event center for the use of the people, purchase of medical supplies and upgrade of the Trauma center at the University of Medical Sciences in Ondo.

According to Awosika: “it is evident that the Ondo Civic Center needs rehabilitation and upgrade to make it more beautiful and befitting for the community. It had also been discovered that many communities has been in darkness for many years because the transformer serving the area is either spoilt or has been stolen, and my interest in the health sector will be served with the intervention in the Trauma center” This intervention will be concentrated in these critical areas”.

He further appreciated the Osemawe and paramount ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo kiladejo and the good people of Ondo kingdom for their support and contributions to the success of the Ekimogun Day 2022.
