Asks Ondo People To Spread Love Beyond Festive Periods

A leading aspirants in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Ondo State, under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Senator Boluwaji Kunlere, has promised to provide a thriving ground for more unity and healthy living amongst the people of Ondo State when elected as the next governor.

The senator, who represented Ondo South Senatorial District between 2011 and ’15 at the Nigeran National Assembly, disclosed this while addressing selected newsmen today. Felicitating with the Muslim faithfuls on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, the former Okitipupa council chairman reiterated his stand to foster development using religion.

‘I grew up in a community where everyone practised their religions without fear or favour. It was a period a Muslim neighbour would joyfully celebrate Christmas with our family while we would be ready for their rams whenever sallah came knocking. It then was easier to converge on the town hall to deliberate on the community’s development, join hands with the leaders to see through a communal project and even encourage intermarriage amongst different worshippers.

‘I congratulate and felicitate with the Muslim faithfuls in Ondo State and Nigeria at large and I urge them to stay on the path the Almighty Allah has set aside for them in the Holy Book of Qur’an. The last thirty days have been challenging and I pray that all their heart desires poured to the Almighty Allah shall be met.’

While encouraging the people of Ondo State to continue to preach love and work together as one, especially during this festive period, Senator Kunlere assured his teeming followers to remain steadfast, committed and confident in the cause to rebuild a better and more prosperous sunshine state when elected as the governor.
