Debo Ajimuda’s Replacement Illegal, It Won’t Stand _ Ondo PDP S.E.C

The Controversial Replacement of the PDP Southern senatorial district chairman, Hon. Debo Ajimuda has been described as ill-conceived, illegal, illogical, disgusting, obnoxious and repugnant to natural justice.

According to an authoritative source from Party state executive council, the purported Ondo south leaders’ meeting lack the power to take such a decision, as the decision has no place in the constitution, and is inconsistent with the sacrosanct constitution of the Party.

Our source, who spoke on the ground of anonymity said the Ondo South chairman was duely elected in a party state convention, and can only be replaced on three grounds, viz:

i) If he resigns with an official letter to the state executive council.

ii) If he dies and

iii) If an allegation, through a petition forwarded to the state executive council, is levelled against against him, and the SEC after thorough investigation finds him guilty.

Our source went further to say that the person purportedly used to replace the chairman has just decamped from the Alliance For Democracy (AD) less than a month ago, and has not being granted a waiver in the PDP. therefore can not hold any leadership position in the party, not to talk of a position that is not vacant.

Our source also said that the hidden agenda of a few persons among the leaders who sat is to sweep away those who believe strongly in the Dr. Olusegun Mimiko’s ideology within the party state leadership, and that they will be shocked by the reactions they will get from the Mimiko followers block.

Our source concluded by saying that they are ready to help the ‘coup plotters’ to factionalized the party, if that is what they want.
