Corrupt Politicians Are Now In Your Party, Fayose Replies Osinbajo
Ayo Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has responded to the words of Vice-President Yemi that the All Progressive’s Congress-led Federal Government would not stop blaming Peoples Democratic Party for looting the national treasury empty.
At the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium on Thursday, Osinbajo made strong allegations against the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
But Fayose asked the Vice President to observe the situation around him to discover that the then corrupt political office holders from PDP are now top decision makers in the ruling APC.
“If the VP can look around himself with honest eyes, he will see majority of those who called the shots during
previous PDP governments that he claimed mismanaged the country’s resources are holding sensitive positions in this present government,” he said.
He also spoke about the “sudden and mysterious disappearance” of key prosecution witnesses in cases involving former PDP members that had decamped to the ruling APC.
“Today, even prosecution witnesses are suddenly disappearing in corruption cases involving those who have decamped to the APC and properties once seized are being returned to them. Obviously, PDP has purged itself of corrupt elements in its fold and offloaded them to the APC,” he said.
Fayose ended his series of tweet asking the APC government to attend to the needs of the country rather than staying on their blame game.
At this point, Vice President, Prof. Osinbajo must be told to stop singing this old song of blame. Nigerians are no longer interested in what PDP did or failed to do.
Rather, they are interested in what the APC government has done and the VP should just tell Nigerians the achievements of their government.
