Ace musician, Charles Oputa has today, Monday commenced a fresh demonstration, alongside his “Our Mumu Don” group, demanding the extradition of former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison Madueke from the United Kingdom to face trials over corruption allegations here in Nigeria.
Charly Boy, as the musician is fondly referred to, recently staged a protest which lasted for about a week in Abuja to call for the resumption of President Buhari or his resignation having spent too many days abroad.
The group is now raising banners with the inscription of “Bring Back Diezani Alison Madueke” at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC’s Headquarters in Abuja on the ground that the Diezani Madueke be subjected to trials within Nigeria.
Alison-Madueke, who served in the administration of Goodluck Jonathan, has been linked to several corruption cases. Some pieces of property she allegedly own have also been seized by the government.
Although, the former minister insists that she has no case to answer and that the pieces of property linked to her were not hers.
