CAN Endorses Ibrahim Dakwambo For President In 2019

The Gombe State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria under the Chairmanship of Rev. Isa Uba has added its voice to that of Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka to endorse Alhaji Ibrahim Dakwambo as Nigerian president in 2019.

The Christian body made the endorsement on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the Gombe State Banquet Hall during a courtesy visit to the Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Dakwambo.

Rev. Isa Uba stressed that the endorsement of Ibrahim Dakwambo was borne out of his sterling performance as a governor and his profound economic and financial management skills that have been brought to bear in Gombe state. The cleric further reiterated that the professional antecedents and educational qualifications of Dakwambo have clearly cut him out as the best man to salvage the nation at this critical period of economic downturn.

The cleric also seized the opportunity of the gathering to appreciate Alhaji Ibrahim Dakwambo for his sterling achievements since he took office as the state Governor. Rev. Isa Uba was full of appreciation to the governor for the existing peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance in Gombe state.

Rev. Uba further thanked the Gombe State Governor for not relenting on his avowed yearly sponsorship of good number of christian faithfuls in the state to the Holy Pilgrimage in Jerusalem. He further thanked the governor for bringing reliefs to workers in the state by ensuring up to date payment of their salaries despite the lean finance of the state.

The Cleric equally appreciated the Governor for his visible and verifiable achievements in Gombe state despite unfounded claim to the contrary by a group in the state. Rev. Isa further described Alhaji Ibrahim Dakwambo as the best thing to have happened to Gombe state in terms of good governance and infrastructural developmental since the state was created in 1996. He however, beseeched all critics of the governor to desist from playing politics with obvious truth.
