Buhari Reacts Over Abduction Of Yobe Schoolgirls

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken some steps over the abduction of 94 schoolgirls of  Government Girls of Technical College, Dapchi in Yobe state.

After three days of the reported abduction, the President has directed the Military and Police to mobilize immediately to ensure that all the missing girls are found.

The Minister of Defence will also lead a Federal Government delegation to Yobe tomorrow, to ascertain the situation.

News reported last night that 46 out of the 94 students have been found in the bush.

The President however sympathized with the parents and guardians of the girls that remain unaccounted for, assuring that the federal government will do all within their power to ensure the safe return of the remaining girls.

Although, the Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abdulmalik Sunmonu,  didn’t confirm the reports on the abduction on the ground that the missing girls must have gone into hiding after the attack in their school
community but the state government confirmed the abduction of these schoolgirls by the Boko Haram which attacked on Monday.

  • I don’t know where this country is going, and we have intelligence gathering office in Nigeria where money were appropriated to to furnish information to security units to avert this problem. I think the military should do much about the porosity of the nations border.
