Buhari In Ondo, Promises To Go After More Looters When Re-elected
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his government, when re-elected again, will further go after those who have looted the country in a bid to recover all looted funds to government’s coffer.
Buhari added that his administration has delivered on the three core areas of economy, security and the fight against corruption.
Buhari, who spoke in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Tuesday during the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential rally, added that the nation’s economy is on the right track considering his administration’s commitment in the area.
The President, who is the APC presidential candidate, said the fight against Boko Haram in the North East has been successful in the last three and half years, saying the sect no longer controls any local government area in states.
He urged people of the state to vote for all APC candidates in the February 16th election.
Also speaking, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo attacked the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Atiku Abubakar over his alleged plans to sell NNPC to his friends.
Osinbajo disclosed that the Buhari-led government has been able to create jobs to 500,000 graduates through Npower programme, urging voters in the state to support APC to the next level for more dividends of democracy.
He added that the APC government is set to construct rail lines that would pass through the state capital, which he mentioned would improve the economy of the state and generate more employment opportunities.
The national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, advised people to reject the PDP and its presidential candidate,saying they are only coming to share the country’s resources among themselves.
Also speaking, a national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said the PDP was afraid of imminent defeat hence its resort to allegations of plans to rig the February 16 poll.
He described the opposition party as “Master Rigger” in elections, urging residents to vote for the APC and stand by their votes.
Tinubu described President Buhari as a dependable and reliable leader whose administration has created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State assured that the state would delivered massive votes for the APC in the coming elections.
Also at the event were Governors Kayode Fayemi(Ekiti), Ibikunle Amosun(Ogun), Godwin Obaseki(Edo) and other leaders of the party.
