Buhari Calls Aregbesola Over Mother’s Death

The ailing President Muhammadu Buhari has put a call through to the mourning Governor Rauf Aregbesola over the loss of his mother.

The Osun state Governor lost his mother at the start of August, August.

Now, according to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and
Publicity, Garba Shehu, it was reported that President Buhari expressed sympathy with the governor, describing his mother “as a great woman who was a pillar of discipline to her children.’’

He further quoted the President as saying that the matriarch of the Aregbesola family deserved great honour for “the sacrifices she made to bring up her children on the path of
sound moral character and commitment to good reputation.’’

Significantly, this is not the first call of the President from UK. Recall that the President was said to have also called an All Progressives Congress’ chieftain, Bisi Akande who lost his wife last month.
