Sporadic shooting hits Akure City Centre

Sporadic gunshots are presently been fired in the Oba Adesida road axis of the Ondo state capital city, Akure, Nigeriancablenewsonline.com has reliably gathered.

The cause of the gunshots is still yet to be confirmed at Press time.

It was however gathered that a yet to be identified young man following a masquerade was stabbed to death.

An eyewitness also said that the incident led to a reprasial attack on some traders around Oja oba in Akure.

The reason for the attack on the victim is yet to be ascertained.

Reports also said the multiple attacks resulted in a fight that earlier ensued between some non-indigene traders and indigene.

While reports also has it that sodiers have been deployed to restore law and Order in the area, commuters are advised to take alternative route from the city centre.
