BREAKING: Saraki Answers Police ‘Query’ Over Offa Robbery
Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki has eventually yielded the request of the Nigerian Police to explain his alleged relationship with the suspected robbers of Offa banks sometimes in April.
Last Sunday, the Police summoned the Senate President to present himself to the Force for questioning over the alleged sponsorship made by the suspected.
The invitation raised dust across the nation as the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo even met with the service chiefs on Monday where it was believed the issue regarding this invitation was discussed.
According to the Senate President on Monday, just few minutes after VP’s meeting with inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and others, the Police reverted its summon and demanded that he explains his own part of the story via written letter.
“Following my earlier tweet, I have
received the letter from @ PoliceNG .
They are no longer asking me to
appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours
which I plan to do”, Senate President said via tweeted.
Saraki also took to his Twitter this evening to relay that he has now transmitted his response to the Nigerian Police on the case Offa robbery he was dragged into.
“In line with their request, earlier today, the Police received my response to their letter on the investigation into the Offa robbery case”, the Senate President tweeted.


The way this issue is been over handle is not painting good image of Nigeria before any country . This matter should have been handle quietly pending when our Senate President is off of his position . This regime may be trying to tell the world they are working very hand to fight corruption and any other misconduct but ,but we have forgotten that other country have there own worst part than Nigeria but hide it .Please let have our country in mind .Thanks .
