Popular Akure Businesswoman, ‘Madam Do Good’, is Dead

Mrs. Ruth Olowokere, popularly known as “Madam Do Good”, is Dead.

She was 70.

A statement by her Family confirmed to Nigerian cable news online that she died at a brief illness.

Until her death, she was Iyaloja General of Ondo State.

Olowokere, whose death was announced on Sunday was a business tycoon in Akure with a statewide recognition.

The family of late popular business woman also debunked a rumour that she died of coronavirus.

The family described her death as painful.

The statement reads in party:

“This is to inform the good people of Ondo State and Nigerian in general that we have lost a rare gem, the Iyaloja-General of Ondo state, Chief Mrs Ruth Olowookere aka (Madam Do Good).”

“Madam Do Good, died today 26th July, 2020 (Sunday) at the aged of 70yrs old during a brief illness.”

“However, her death is not in anyway connected with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The statement signed by Mr. Kunle Ajibogun, on behalf of the family said;

“Our family is deeply saddened to inform you of the call to eternal home of our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, Chief Mrs. Ruth Olowookere.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. (Amen).
